Gary Nason

Mr. Nason has over 21 years of combined CAO experience with the District of Central Saanich, the District of Oak Bay and the City of Colwood. In that capacity he has overseen the recruitment and selection processes for numerous senior positions, either through conducting the processes in-house, or by overseeing third party executive search firms. Mr. Nason has extensive Human Resources experience both as CAO, as well as in his past role as Director of Administrative Services/City Clerk with the City of Nanaimo where he oversaw the operation of the City’s HR Department. Mr. Nason’s other areas of expertise include First Nations Servicing and Protocol Agreements, and acting as Chief Election Officer for local government elections, by-elections and alternative approval processes.

Mr. Nason has both a Bachelor and a Master of Arts degree in History, and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Victoria.
